Migrating CCD from a Server to a Solo System

We recommend that the CCD solo installation and database migration are performed by personnel who have a good understanding of your infrastructure, such as in internal or external IT department.

Please ensure the PC you are installing to adheres to the Minimum Hardware and Software Requirements for a Solo CCD setup using FileMaker Pro 15.

Prior to installing CCD, please make sure FileMaker 15 has been purchased from FileMaker directly and installed to the PC.

Please follow these instructions if the PC has never had CCD installed previously:

Click on the relevant link below to download the Installer for your version of CCD and save to the machine that CCD will be installed on;

CCD 5.00 installer file

CCD 5.10 installer file

Unzip the file and double click on the SSL_CCD_InstallHelper_5.x.exe file.

Click Extract which will copy the installation files to your desktop and launch the installation wizard.

Due to this being a Solo install, select both checkboxes “Install Workstation” and Install Databases”. You will not need to confirm your version of Office as FileMaker will already be installed.

Please click on Install Workstation first, followed by Install Databases.

Once CCD has been installed on the PC, the databases from the server can be copied over. The databases will have the extension SCC14 and will look similar to this:

We would recommend copying the databases from the previous night’s backup. To locate your backup on the server please follow the below knowledgebase article:

How to find your back-up location

Copy all the SCC14 files from the backup in Windows Explorer to the c:\link folder on the solo PC.  This will overwrite the blank databases on the PC and replace them with the populated databases from your server.

Please follow these instructions if the PC has had CCD installed previously:

If CCD is being moved to a PC that currently has access to CCD then only the databases will need to be copied over.
