Processing a receipt

Once a commission statement/receipt has been received and recorded in Admin > Commissions > Receipts, it needs to be processed and matched to the unpaid commissions expectations.

Record the commission statement in here:

Click on the Reconcile tab to view all the commission expectations that are unpaid for that Provider:
Using the commission statement received from the Provider, work through the items and mark off those that have been paid.  There are 3 arrows that need to be used.
The Black arrow is used if the amount received matches the amount that you have been expecting.
The Red arrow is used if the amount received is different to the amount you have been expecting.
The Green arrow is used if an amount has been received and you are expecting more to come in.

When an amount received matches the amount expected, click onto the black arrow. If the amount you have received is different to what was expected, but you are happy to write off any difference, type in the amount received in the field under the amount expected and click the red arrow. When the amount received is vastly different to what was expected and you want to reconcile what you've received and then create an expectation for the remainder, type in the amount received under the amount expected and use the green arrow. Once in here, there will be a button at the bottom of the page to Create a suspense account for £xx.xx. Click this button. The amount received will be reconciled and an additional expectation for the difference will be created.

Once a commission receipt has a balance showing of 0.00, the receipt is finished and now all that is left to do is to use the Process this Receipt button at the bottom, which is now showing in red.  

This receipt will now be completed and moved to the Settlements area of commissions.
