How do I setup remuneration tolerances?

When reconciling commission it may be useful to have a warning that appears if someone tries to write off more money than the company standards allow.  Therefore, commission tolerances may be set to limit the extent to which users of the system can write off amounts when reconciling commissions.

This can be a useful control feature, particularly when the commissions management is spread amongst a number of people within a team.  To set commission tolerances up navigate to Setup > Technical > Commissions.

The tolerances that can be set up are:

- Tolerance minimum - this means that if what is received is different to what was expected by this amount or less, no warning will be displayed.
- Maximum value - this means that if what is received is different to what was expected by more than this amount, a warning will be displayed.
- Tolerance % - this is used in conjunction with the Maximum value to ensure that if a smaller piece of commission is received, where the difference may be less that the Maximum value but may be a reasonable %, a warning will appear if someone attempts to write off the difference.
