What are the AIC sector changes for Investment Trusts?

The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has conducted a comprehensive sector review resulting in the creation of 14 new sectors and removal of 8 existing sectors.  Investment Trusts previously listed in sectors which have been removed have been relocated to a surviving sector or to one of the new sectors.  The new and removed sectors are as follows:

  • Debt – Direct Lending
  • Debt – Loans & Bonds
  • Debt – Structured Finance
  • Growth Capital 
  • Property – Debt
  • Property – Rest of World
  • Property – UK Commercial
  • Property – UK Healthcare
  • Property – UK Residential
  • Royalties
  • Technology & Media

Removed Sectors: 

  • Asia Pacific – Excluding Japan
  • Asia Pacific – Including Japan 
  • Property Direct – Asia Pacific
  • Property Direct – UK 
  • Property Specialist
  • Sector Specialist: Debt
  • Sector Specialist: Small Media, Comms & IT Cos 
  • Sector Specialist: Tech Media & Telecomm
